Monday Musings (Jeans and Jewels)

Hello Gorgeous!
With Valentine's Day quickly approaching I am so excited to wear red and pink this week. I have a few great outfits planned for you all to see. I am starting this week off with an amazing pair of jeans, Royalty For Me is a denim company that is revolutionizing how women wear jeans. Royalty For Me offers jeans that fit your shape like premium denim without the price of premium denim. I am a dark wash denim lover and the wash on these 'Essential Super Soft Skinny Jeans' is perfection. These jeans are truly super soft and have the perfect amount of stretch so that they are fantastically comfortable. My favourite part of these jeans is the rise, these are a mid-rise jeans which are very slimming through the mid-section, and they offer great coverage through the back side so there is no 'riding down' as you may call it. You can find these jeans here, and with a price point of $44 these are a great buy!

Just when you thought this week couldn't get any better! I found the most incredible jewellery. Elyse by Nicole is created by Nicole Dibos, and each item is handmade, which makes each piece one of a kind.  As you read on in the post you will see how gorgeous these jewellery pieces are.

I just adore these green earrings and pink bracelet by Elyse by Nicole, the craftmanship is incredible and the colours are stunning. The bracelet has bright pink stones and the wire work is impeccable, while the earrings hang delicately and are very light to wear. I highly suggest you check out Elyse by Nicole right now for great accessory options.

Sunday School- 100th Day

Happy Sunday!!

This was a busy week as we finally got to our 100th day of school! This week we made 100 sticker books, created a short story of what we would when we are 100 years old (sorry I didn't get pictures of that), we ate a 100 day snack, and make a 100 necklace.

You can see our sticker books above, we had the students use the small stickers to put 100 in their books. They loved this!

We used fruit loops to make a 100 day necklace, we had the students place the loops on a planning page first and then they used pipe cleaners to string the loops on.

We packed a small ziploc bag for each student of 100 snacks. They had to empty the bag and sort through the items. This was challenging for them, but they loved to eat it when they were done.

We also experimented with snow this week, here you can see our container is almost full with snow. We watched what happened during the day and discovered when the snow melts, there is a lot less water. So we decided snow takes up more space.

How was your week? Did you do anything special if you got to your 100th day of school?

Thursday How To- Get Bright Eyes (even if you haven't slept)

Hello Gorgeous!

I hope you're all having a great week, to be honest, I haven't been sleeping so great lately. My son has been up in the night and then I just can't back to sleep. I am tossing and turning and then I have to get up and go to work with my lovely students. I have been noticing this week, I am looking extra exhausted in the morning. To help me beat the 'tired eyes look' I have finally found the perfect product, Benefit Lemon Aid

The Benefit Lemon Aid is a colour correcting eyelid primer, but I have discovered a little secret, if you use it under your eyes as a concealer, it gives the most lovely brightening effect. The product comes in the cutest yellow box (Benefit packaging always makes me smile), and inside the compact is the sweetest shade of lemon yellow. The product is thick, like you would expect any good concealer to be so I would suggest using a brush to apply it. For this post I will take you through the steps of my eye transformation, trust me, you have to see it.

Below I have nothing on my face except a thin layer of foundation. My eyes have some darkness under them that I will soon get rid of.

I have applied the Lemon Aid to the left side of you screen under the eye. Look how much brighter it is ( I did put it on a bit of a heavier coat so you could clearly see the difference). I like to use a small concealer brush that allows me to get in those hard to reach areas.

Here I have finished concealing under both eyes. I can surely tell the difference now, my eyes look instantly brighter and wide awake (like I slept all night). I just need to fill in my eyebrows, add a bit of blush , and a thin coat of lipstick and I am good to start my day!

Let me know in the comments, will you try this product? I sure hope so, you can find it at

Tuesday Try This- Stella and Dot Trellis Necklace

Hello Gorgeous!

It is no secret that I love the Stella and Dot jewellery line. Yes, Stella and Dot make more than just fabulous jewellery pieces, but I am always drawn to the gorgeous necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. For this week's Try This I have chosen the brand new Trellis Necklace from the Spring 2015 catalogue. I adore this necklace because of it's curved shape, gorgeous colours, and amazing quality.

The stones in this piece were carefully chosen so that no matter what colour your shirt is, this necklace will compliment it wonderfully.  The pastel colour palette in this piece makes it a perfect choice for spring, and the size of the necklace does not overwhelm your outfit. Surprisingly, this piece is very light and easy to wear.

You can see how I have paired this necklace on top of two different shades of blue. The necklace really 'pops' against the blue. I can not say how much I adore this piece, you can find it here.

Monday Musings- Snow

Hello Gorgeous!
I have been anxious for snow to arrive for the last three months, and finally the weather co-operated. We got a decent amount of snow this last week, and you know the first thing I said to my husband (who takes most of my pictures), was "Can we get take some pictures?" These pictures were taken in our local park and these are definitely some of my favourites. The black and white coat with the red pom-pom hat is so fun. I brought my heels along for some fun, knowing that I couldn't wear them the way I wanted to. Instead, I put on a pair of black Ugg Australia boots I have had for probably six years, These boots are so warm and comfortable, and they really don't look like the traditional Ugg boot style.
Is there snow where you are? I hope you are enjoying this lovely winter!

Thursday How To- Black and White plus The Ultimate Girls Giveaway!

Hello Gorgeous!

Black and white is a staple in every wardrobe, and with the graphic black and white prints still being very popular this season, I wanted to share a few easy tips when wearing graphic black and white.

1. If you are mixing black and white prints make sure one print is larger.
2. Do not be afraid to mix in stripes with checkered, or plaid black and white.
3. Have at least one solid in your outfit ( just as I have the solid black pants on in this post).
4. Include small bursts of colour when mixing back and white prints, I chose to use a bright pink lipstick for this look.

Once you have chosen your look, use a fun bag to pull it altogether. Oh by the way, do you like the bag I have on in this post? Would you like to win it? Read on and fill in the Rafflecopter. There are so many great prizes in this package you will be so tempted to enter.

Try This Tuesday- Headbands by Gina Made It

Hello Gorgeous!

Do I have a great product to tell you about today! I am so excited about this product because I am a lover of all hair accessories, especially the headband. It is so hard to find a headband that is stylish, well made, and most importantly comfortable. I finally found the perfect headband that fits all three criteria. You do not have to suffer with headbands that are painful because they pinch behind your ears, or that have comb like teeth that scratch the top of your head. Gina Made It is a New York company specializing in making the loveliest hair accessories. The headband line is very extensive with many unique fabric choices, such as denim, velvet, stripes, leather, sparkles, and gorgeous sparkle rocks.. The one I am wearing in this post is a pink sparkle headband, take a look at the incredible knot work details that line the curve of the band. The fabric is wrapped VERY tightly which means no fraying (as many of my headbands have done in the past). I can not believe how great the quality is in such a small, but important accessory item.

Gina Made It also makes the loveliest hair bun bows (which I am lusting after right now), pony scarves, and head turbans. You have to head to the website right now to check out the incredible catalog and make a purchase, you and your hair will NOT regret it.

The knot detailing really sets this headband apart from the others, you can see how tightly wound it is around the fabric. This is a stand out piece when you wear it, and it will go with many many outfits.

Let me know do you want to see a giveaway with a headband from Gina Made it?
