All things Biko! (Biko Jewellery Feature!)

Finding great accessories is a lot harder than it looks. Searching for that perfect piece that will match a variety of outfits can be overwhelming. A line that I personally have a love affair with is Biko, this line is designed by Corrine Anestopoulos. Corrine lives in Toronto, Ontario where she designs and creates modern nostalgic pieces that any woman would covet. Corrine searches out gorgeous vintage elements to add into her designs. I have been in love with Biko for many years now, and have many pieces in my accessory collection. Biko pieces never leave my collection! The latest Biko collection is called Beachcomber, and I have chosen a few of my favourite pieces from this collection, as well as, a few of her classics. I hope you love these as much as I do, if you are in love check out her website at www.ilovebiko.com
The Misa Bracelet
My personal favourite the Triple Vela Necklace in Aqua.

The Soola Necklace- this necklace has loads of versatility to match any outfit.
The gorgeous classic Leafdrop Earrings from the Biko Classics, these were my first Biko purchase!
The Finn Necklace from the Biko Classics.

The Stripe Life

Wearing stripes, (I admit), is hard for me. I need to find the perfect mix of stripe width and colour, if a stripe is too wide it wears me. If a top is too colourfully striped, then I tend to look like I am wearing a costume. So when I find a striped item of clothing I like, it is truly a great find! I love this red and white striped shirt with a side bow (I love bows on clothes), and this white jacket helps to break up the stripes. The jeans and shoes give me a great casual weekend look!

The Blues

Blue is the warmest colour in my closet. I have a wardrobe that seems to be based around blue tones as it's foundation. I think I wear a blue item every day. This is my interpretation of the blues in my closet, the jacket I have had for years from a trip to London, England. I can just never let it go from my closet as it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Let me know your sentimental items from your closet, send me a comment or email.

Dotted Windowpane

Printed pants have never really captured my interest, I normally think the print would be too overwhelming for my short frame. When I tried these windowpane printed pants on at Smart Set I immediately knew these were going to become a staple in my wardrobe. I love the fit, and the graphic black and white print has a great classic element. These pants are actually capri length, but on me they appear to be an ankle cropped length. The clutch is one of my new favourite finds from Indigo Canada and the price point on this is so affordable. The sparkle bow shoes, have a story of their own, these shoes are actually a half size too small but the size up was far too big. I don't even know if the store I bought them in on Queen St. West in Toronto is still open today. Needless to say, I don't wear these as much as I would like to.

Delicate Items (Greg Voisin Pottery)

At least once a week I am going to try to feature a designer that I am in love with! Today's designer has nothing to do with clothing but is still very fashionable. Greg Voisin is from Hamilton, Ontario, and he hand makes pottery products. His signature items are his mugs, which are created and decorated by hand in his home studio. Greg has been receiving a lot of attention for his work lately as he participated in both of the One of a Kind Craft Shows in Toronto this past year. I am so lucky to call Greg a personal friend of mine (I have known him for many years), he is a fantastic person with a HUGE heart. The attention he is receiving for his work is well deserved. Please look at some of his amazing creations, and remember his contact information because after looking at his work you will want a piece for yourself.

Minty Green

The pastel colours that have taken over the fashion world during the last year have been very inspiring. Almost any skin tone looks great in a pastel shade, it's just about finding the right shade for you, I often do not have a lot of luck with pastel pink, but the mint pastel green seems to match my skin tone quite nicely. If you have not realized this by now Boutique Jacob is one of my favourite stores to find classic work appropriate apparel. The Jacob girls at the closest store to me know my personal style when I go in, since I seem to be in at least once a month. This gorgeous mint green dress is from Boutique Jacob, although from last year's Spring Collection. The colourful shoes with the bows at the back are a great way to mix some brighter colours with the pastel mint green.

A Trip to Seychelles!

Strike a Chord
Stagefright
Phenomenon
Lucky Penny
On the Floor

Face the Music
I have always loved the Seychelles footwear line, I think this line has many vintage elements mixed with modern ladylike details. I decided to share a few of my personal favourites from the line for Spring. The lucky penny boot in leather has been screaming my name since I noticed it in the fall line. Close your eyes and Stagefright I would purchase right away! The colour options are so versatile, which means these shoes would be in a collection for many years to come.
